I have a very good, 15 hand red sorrel Paso gelding for sale. He goes mostly barefoot because he has great hooves. Doesn't need shoes unless you plan on
riding in a lot of rock. Goes gait with every step. He is largo gaited, meaning he can cover a lot of country fast not short strided like some Pasos. I have
riden him at field trials, trail rides and shown him at Paso and local shows. He needs a semi-experienced rider with soft hands. One that understands that real
light leg grip means go and relaxed seat and gentle tug/quick relax on reins means whoa. I learned to ride on this horse and it took me a while to learn that.
Once I did, he is a whole lot of fun. Will ride anywhere, front back or middle. Prefers back or middle. Tends to be a little timid on trail and ditches or
change in terrain. Work to ride him out front but follows anywhere real well. He is a whole lot of horse and a lot of bottom end. I am 6'4" and 260.
Have had him down at Oxford on the North Mississippi trail riders assoc ride and never ran out of horse. Will leave a walking horse in the dust and do it all
day.
I am selling him because I have too many horses and not enough pasture. I have classy paso mare that I can show and a 16 hand walking horse bulldozer to ride with my wife. She prefers slow and steady and no spook. Something pasos aren't well known for.
She doesn't like riding with my gelding. Enough said. Let me know if you want
pictures or video.
