I am looking for a good home for my Manx cat, Murphy. He was adopted by my cousin while I was in Kansas City working as an intern over the summer of 2007. She decided she didn't want him anymore and I decided to bring him home to Mississippi so he wouldn't go back to the shelter. However, he hates being an outside cat and is miserable in his status as barn cat. All he wants is to curl up and sleep in a warm house, and I can't stand to see him so sad...

This is such a neat story. People hear of a young single mom having to sale her horse at auction only to have to buy her back to keep her from going to slaughter. Why is it that people have to see or hear of a specific situation before they'll do anything? There are thousands of American's in the same place as this young girl - how many owners will actually go through with selling their horse at an auction (to slaughter) because they think they have no choice??
