Looking for trainer in Hernando, MS area

I am looking for someone in the Hernando area to work with my 9 year old neice and her stubborn Welsh Pony. The pony needs ground work and the 9 year old needs to gain her confidence and learn how to ride the pony. If anyone knows of a trainer that is reasonable and that can/will work with both horse and rider, please, please let me know.

I. too, have used Michelle Gilles and she is wonderful. She is kind, concerned, and really takes time with your horse. In two weeks time, she had our problem horse working great and had my 8 yr. old granddaughter working in sinc with her horse. He fees are extremely reasonable and she takes good care of all her charges, including the many rescue horses she takes in. Great trainer!

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get a horse trimmed when he is terrified of clippers? I can't twitch him because we had to do so for about two weeks to treat an awful insect bite abscess so he is now terribly aggressive when twitched. It was also making him very head shy so that idea is out. I am about to the point of knocking his booty out but that is only short term. HELP!!!!

Hey everyone. I have a coming 3-year-old quarter horse gelding that I need to have someone break for me. Can anyone recommend someone good to break him and teach him the basics -- leads, backing, etc.? I want someone who is extremely gentle; Champ is a very nervous boy and needs someone with patience to train him. I just don't have the knowledge or the time to spend to get him properly broke.

I had a filly, raised her myself halter classed her at 4 months and got second ..very smart gentle and willing..never had a min. trouble out of her...sold her and then got her back a short time later...the man that bought her could not control her....she was very aggressive...would try to bite, and when I say bite I mean lips peeled back and very violent, she would kick at him when he entered the stall, paw him when in cross ties....and though he did ride her he was never comfortable around...

Hi everyone! I have a 10 y/o QH gelding...he is a great horse but we are having some problems with mounting. As soon as you try to get your foot in the stirrup, he moves his rear end away from you and moves it each time you step toward him or make a move to mount. We were going in circles trying to get on him tonight..lol You almost have to get someone to hold him still while you get on. Anyone else ever have this problem? Would love some ideas on correcting this behavior if you have any...
